California individuals and families can sign up for 2019 health coverage with Health Net starting Oct. 15

New Health Net clients can discover a plan that accommodates their budget and preferences, with your guidance. 

October 15 marks the start of the health coverage enrollment period for individuals and families in California. To support your 2019 renewals and sales, please take a look at our rich line-up of plans that will serve just about any individual or family.

2019 IFP — A familiar, reliable portfolio to meet your existing and prospective clients’ needs

Big news! All of the Individual and Family Plans (IFP) offered in 2018 by Health Net of California, Inc. and Health Net Life Insurance Company (Health Net) will be available again for 2019 health coverage, both on- and off-exchange. Simplifying things for you and your clients is just one way we’re working hard to support your business.

Plans designed for California’s IFP market

Health Net should have something for everyone. Choose from a variety of metal tiers within each of these plan types:

  • CommunityCare HMO
    New for 2019: Heal™ “house calls” for urgent care. Note: Heal is not available for primary or preventive care with this plan as it is with EPO, EnhancedCare PPO and PPO plans.
  • PureCare HSP
    New for 2019: Health coverage at walk-in clinics like MinuteClinic; no appointment necessary!
  • PureCare One EPO
    New for 2019: Heal™ “house calls” for primary, preventive and urgent care in the home, office or hotel!
  • EnhancedCare PPO
    New Bronze 60 HDHP plan added on- and off-exchange in all regions where EnhancedCare PPO is available. (The Gold Value EnhancedCare PPO and Silver Value EnhancedCare PPO plans are still pending CDI approval)
  • Full network PPO (off-exchange only) (These plans are still pending CDI approval)
    Plus – all of our 2019 IFP plans on- and off-exchange will come with Active&Fit Direct™, offering fitness center memberships for less!

Enrollment timeline  

Sept. 28: Health Net mails renewal letters to all of our members.
Oct. 1: Covered California opens for early renewal.
Oct. 15: Official start of 2019 enrollment period in California.
Mid-Nov.: Health Net mails 30-day reminder letters.
Dec. 15: Last day to sign up for new health coverage for a Jan. 1, 2019 effective date. Also the deadline for consumers to verify information and income with Covered California in order to qualify for tax credits in 2019.
Jan. 15, 2019: Enrollment for 2019 health coverage closes in California.
